ORIGIN:

Soy oil is extracted from soy beans  by crushing using chemical solvents.  The oil  can be obtained by cold pressing, but this method is very expensive and only a few producers use it.The world’s main producers are the United States, China, India, Argentina and Italy.

FLAVOUR:

pale yellow in colour with a delicate flavour.

THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES*:

important for the beneficial effects in cholesterol reduction, and as a source of proteins in vegetarian diets.

CULLINARY PROPERTIES:

Can be used raw for dressing foods, for the production of margarine and salad dressing and for cooking, although it is not suitable for frying.
